Kerlyne Jean-Baptiste is the founder of KerlyGirl, a haircare venture that caters to femmes with coiler textures-through its organic products and beauty initiatives. Since 2018, KerlyGirl has bridged the health and beauty space for women of color, garnering the attention of Brown University’s Center for Entrepreneurship, The Boston Globe, and Rhode Island Inno. With a double concentration in Political Science and Africana Studies, Kerlyne graduated from Brown University in 2016. During her time at Brown, Kerlyne centered her studies on women of the African diaspora and intersectional equity. She is a lover of pop culture.
